i2 Planet 2009 Update

Dear Customer,

Like you, we have been evaluating the current state of the economy and trying to project the impact this downturn will continue to have. One thing that is evident – both anecdotally and through our research – is that corporate business travel is down substantially. We’re seeing reduced attendance at every industry event we attend, and have heard from many of you that your own 2009 travel budgets have been cut or eliminated. It is with that information, and after careful analysis, that we have decided that this year we will not host our traditional i2 Planet event, originally scheduled for April 27-29 in New Orleans.

You can rest assured, however, that just because we aren’t having a “destination” event doesn’t mean you won’t have access to the rich supply chain thought leadership and best-practice success stories that you have traditionally experienced at i2 Planet. As a matter of fact, we’re going to bring as much of that content as possible to you at no cost – through web casts, more frequent Supply Chain Leader magazine stories, and smaller, regional events that are more economically suited to today’s travel restrictions.

Very soon we hope to be able to share with you additional information on:

  • An on-line “virtual Planet” web cast focused on the supply chain topics that are most relevant to you today
  • User Group-specific activities
  • Ongoing solution update web seminars presented by our solution support team
  • A new look and more frequent content updates to Supply Chain Leader online, with added features including audio podcasts, discussion forums, etc.

As always, we welcome your feedback and ideas with regard to the kind of programs and educational seminars you want from i2. Additionally, if you have a story you’d like to share, we’d love to talk with you about your involvement in one of our web seminars, getting published in Supply Chain Leader or speaking at an event with us.
