Sequencer

Sequencing is a process designed to create a system for assembly that considers detailed capacity, product mix, labor, and transportation constraints. Sequencing places products into an assembly lineup after master scheduling develops a plan to satisfy production plan requirements. The sequencing process is typically done at an overall assembly-line level, which includes the body shop, paint shop, and final assembly.
