July 27, 2005i2 Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITWO), a leading provider of demand-driven supply chain solutions designed to enable business agility, today announced that John Cummings has been named senior vice president and chief marketing officer (CMO).
Cummings joins i2 from BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting), one of the world’s largest business consulting, systems integration and managed services firms, where he was managing director of the firm’s Global Supply Chain Practice. As Managing Director he was the engagement partner for several business process strategy and transformation projects for Fortune 500 clients in multiple industries ranging from retail to industrial manufacturing.
As i2 CMO, Cummings will be responsible for defining i2’s brand, strategic marketing, lead generation and communications strategies, building winning competitive strategies, refining the i2 product mix and defining new solutions, and evaluating expansion into new markets.

In addition to his six years at BearingPoint, Cummings spent two years as a director and manager in Oracle Corporation’s Industrial Sector Supply Chain Practice. He spent 12 years at United Parcel Service, working in a variety of positions in the company’s operations, finance, accounting and human resources divisions, and played a significant role in the start-up of UPS Worldwide Logistics which is now UPS Supply Chain Solutions. Prior to UPS, Cummings spent two years with IBM working in distribution/warehousing and PC manufacturing.
Cummings earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
