Greater Asia-Pacific Region Key to Future Growth

January 8, 2004i2 Technologies, Inc. (OTC: ITWO), a leading provider of end-to-end supply chain management solutions, today announced that Sam Nakane has been named president, i2 Greater Asia-Pacific Region. This newly formed region is the combination of two existing i2 regions – i2 Japan and i2 Asia-Pacific (APAC). Nakane is expanding his original role as chairman of i2 Japan to include the Asia-Pacific region, and handing over his current responsibilities as i2 chief operating officer to i2 chairman and CEO Sanjiv Sidhu. Nakane also serves as an executive vice president of the company.
In his new role, Nakane will be responsible for all sales, marketing, operations, services and support in the company’s new Greater Asia-Pacific Region, which includes the fast-growing markets of China, Korea, Japan, India, Malaysia, Taiwan and Australia. The current presidents of i2 Japan and i2 APAC will report to Nakane. i2 India’s solutions operations, and research and development activities at the i2 Solutions Center will remain under the leadership of Pallab Chatterjee, i2 president, Solutions Operations.

Nakane joined i2 as chairman, i2 Japan in March 2001, and was named i2’s COO in April 2002. He joined i2 from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he had been the managing partner for Japan and the B2E (business-to-enterprise) leader for the Asia-Pacific Region since December 1999. Prior to his position with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Nakane worked in senior management positions for both SAP and IBM.
