i2 User Group

The i2 User Group (www.i2-usergroup.org) is a volunteer organization dedicated to addressing the issues and needs of every i2 user. Founded in 1996, the i2 User Group provides members with countless opportunities to share information and experiences on the selection, implementation, and effective use of i2 solutions. Additionally, the i2 User Group (i2UG) provides a forum for companies to give input on the future direction of i2 solutions.

Through networking and educational opportunities, the i2 User Group provides unmatched access to fellow users, vendors, and consultants of complementary products.

Some benefits of i2 User Group membership include:

  • Networking and training through conferences such as Directions and i2 Planet, as well as industry SIG and GEO meetings
  • Enhancement process, which allows i2 customers to help influence the direction of i2 solutions. While any i2 customer can request an enhancement, only i2UG members receive additional votes during the enhancement voting process. And only i2UG members can hear i2 Product Managers report the results of the vote, including how and when the top vote getters will be included in future releases
  • Mentoring with other member companies to take advantage of other companies’ lessons learned during new implementations
  • Access and advocacy by utilizing the members-only section of the web site. This section provides access to various features such as:
    • SIG presentations
    • Quarterly Compass newsletter
    • Membership directory
    • Directions presentations
    • Enhancement voting results
    • FAQs
    • Discussion groups

The i2 User Group is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, whose members serve two-year terms.

The 2007-2008 Board of Directors is:

  • Bill Bryan, The Timken Company – Secretary
  • Tom Dadmun, ADTRAN
